Regulations for Designated Quarantine Period

Designated quarantine period after entering/returning to Japan

Isolate yourself at your accommodation (registered location of isolation) or home, and do NOT come into physical contact with others.
Report your location and health condition daily as pledged.
During your stay

Practice precaution against infection: Use mask, sanitize hands/fingers, avoid the "3Cs" (closed space, crowd, close contact).

Report Your Location using the Health and Location Monitoring App for Overseas Entrants（MySOS）

    Log In (Register to Start Using the App)

    - Install the app from the unique QR code

    - Upon arrival at an airport in Japan, please enter Passport Number and Date of Birth. You can then start using the app.

    Register Your Location of Isolation (Accommodations), Report Your Current Location

    - Upon arriving at your location of isolation (accommodations), “check in” to register your location.

    - Multiple times a day, you will receive a notification asking you to confirm your current location.

    →Tap the “I’m Here!” button to reply.

Report Your Health Condition using the Health and Location Monitoring App for Overseas Entrants（MySOS）

  • Once a day, you will receive a notification asking you to confirm your health condition.

    →Follow the prompt in the notification to report your health condition.

About the Health and Location Monitoring App for Overseas Entrants（MySOS）

  • ＊You may recieve an AI-powered automatic video call rather than from the operator, but you can answer the same in either case.


  • Answering Video Calls

    - Answer incoming video calls from the HCO to verify that you are staying at the registered location of isolation (your accommodations).

Warning

You MUST answer incoming HCO communications.
You cannot call back on a video call.When you receive a video call, the HCO will confirm whether you are at home or indoors at the time, based on your surroundings, etc. Please wait for the next video call, as the HCO cannot make this confirmation if you call back by telephone.
